I am more than pleased with the renovation that Mr. Alex Ortega completed on my mother’s house. He took on the daunting task of preparing a bi-level home for the rental market.

 

To start off with, Alex not only set out to renovate the house, he actually took it upon himself to backtrack and correct all of the structural and cosmetic errors left behind by the previous contractor.  He provided an amazing attention to detail and was incredibly responsive to my needs. It impressed me that the timeline Alex provided me with to complete the project was accurate and he kept his word. Alex always arrived on time and worked steadily until the job was completed.

Basically, he saved the project from becoming a more expensive catastrophe. For example, he contributed his knowledge and experience by informing me about the timelines for obtaining the proper construction permits and inspections, which saved a lot of time and frustration.  Also, he pointed out mistakes in the painting and spackling of the interior walls and in the installation of the tile flooring and electrical sockets and even went the extra mile of fixing these errors without any extra charge. The end result was everything and more than I was hoping for.

 

Furthermore, Alex carries himself in a professional manner at all times and exemplifies a strong work ethic as well as the qualities of punctuality and trustworthiness.  He is also courteous and hardworking.

He communicates openly with clients and follows their specifications right down to the letter. He charges a fair price for his work, and his skills reflect an immense pride in his craftsmanship and over 10 years of experience in carpentry and repairs.

He always made sure I knew what was going on with every step of the process and it was a great experience. It’s great to work with a contractor who truly knows his business, is honest, and takes pride in his craft.
